Means, D. Bruce.  TREASURES OF EL DORADO.  A book about five expeditions Means made to one of the world’s last unexplored wildernesses.  The first part is about natural treasures of frogs and other wildlife new to science discovered by Means on National Geographic Society funded treks.   The second part is a trek among Amerindian villages during which Means discovers that treasures of man—gold and diamonds—are destroying the natural treasures.  (In preparation.)

Means, D. Bruce.  A NATURALIST IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN.  A book about Means’s 45-year research odyssey in the Florida panhandle where the greatest number of species occurs in frogs, snakes, turtles, carnivorous plants, ecosystems, and other groups of organisms.  The focus is on the amazing biogeography of this small, but most-biodiverse, region in the US and Canada as seen through Means’s lifelong researches and experiences.  (In preparation.)
